Methodology
STEP 1
Heat oven to 180C/160 Fan/Gasoline 4. Grease an ovenproof dish. Heat the oil in a large frying pan on medium heat, add the onion, and sizzle for 5 minutes. Remove half of the onions and place in a bowl along with the minced meat, egg, breadcrumbs and chopped bay. Blend and season properly. Form the mixture into a long sausage shape and transfer to a greased dish. Add the rest of the bay leaves, drizzle a bit extra oil on top and bake for 40-45 mins until cooked through.
STEP 2
Meanwhile, keep the rest of the onions in the pan on low heat. After two minutes, increase the heat and add the passata along with 70ml of water. Stirring frequently, bubble for 30 minutes at low heat. Style to taste.
STEP 3
Follow the instructions on the package to cook spaghetti. Once all is ready, mix the spaghetti with the tomato sauce and slice the meatloaf. Let everyone help themselves.
